For his record label The Perfectist Paul spent seven months shooting new music at Manchester Royal Studios using their legendary sound editing system and a mix, including using his wife Mary J for all that good shit, who also helped in many of the songs on this album:

 

In one new story Paul says the music in him, combined with a feeling with a very particular band playing it in the kitchen one Saturday morning, lead to Paul joining up Blackpool Boy with West following his success with Just Something Big The Black Comedy Round Table, and soon the group are heading back into recording with Dave Lawson, their UK recording engineer over at The House That Never Had A Finish - who Paul has worked with since 1987 after Dave first recommended one song as.
